Our Story
We're not trying to be the biggest skincare brand out there — just one you can trust the label on. Here's how a home-kitchen experiment turned into Organosilvia.

How It Started
Organosilvia started because one of us couldn't find a face oil that didn't leave her skin red and irritated. After months of reading ingredient labels and coming up empty, she started mixing her own — cold-pressed carrier oils, a handful of plant extracts, and nothing else.
Friends asked for a bottle. Then friends of friends. By the time we set up a folding table at our first farmers market in 2022, we'd already gone through more kitchen batches than we could count — adjusting ratios, throwing out anything that separated or smelled off, and writing everything down.
We're still a two-person operation. One of us formulates and handles quality checks; the other runs everything else, from sourcing to packing orders. Neither of us has plans to change that anytime soon — it's the only way we know how to keep every batch something we'd actually use ourselves.

We build every formula around plant-derived ingredients first, and fill in from there.
We cap every batch small enough that one of us can check it by hand before it ships.
If we can't explain what an ingredient does, it doesn't make it into the bottle.
